"Good access both from sea and by rail is what is speaking in favor of the port of Muuga. Therefore, it may become the place where the North–South Transport Corridor will connect with the east-bound railway. The multimodal cargo terminal planned to be built at Muuga will also play a big role in this," the minister told BNS.
The minister said that both the CEO of the Port of Tallinn Valdo Kalm and CEO of Estonian Railways (Eesti Raudtee) Erik Laidvee at the meeting said that they see great potential in Rail Baltic for the Estonian transit sector and the port of Muuga.
Simson visited the port of Muuga at the invitation of Kalm.
