Tallinn hub expect 16,000 turnaround tourists

The port and airport of Tallinn expect to host 16,000 tourists who switch from planes to cruise ships, or vice versa, the Estonian news portal BBN said in a statement.

In turnaround tourism, Tallinn has a huge competition advantage in the proximity of the airport and the port to the city's biggest attraction – the medieval Old Town, as well as competitive prices, Port of Tallinn and Tallinn Airportsaid.

For the second consecutive summer, customers of the Spanish cruise operator Pullmantur will start and end their trips in Tallinn.

The turnaround services provide work to dozens of companies in the transport and tourism sector besides to boosting the turnover of Tallinn's museums, hospitality establishments and stores.

Tallinn is the turnaround point for cruise passengers for the third year. Pullmantur which earlier started and ended its Baltic Sea cruises in Helsinki is here for the second season after last year’s success.
