Tallinna Sadam paid 8.825 million euros of corporate income tax to the state. Ain Kaljurand, board chairman of Tallinna Sadam, noted that the state acknowledges and supports entrepreneurs already, no extra credit is needed for paying taxes. Kaljurand said that the company would prefer to use the tax revenue to develop infrastructure.
The second biggest corporate income tax payer was state-owned energy company Eesti Energia Narva Elektrijaamad (8.024 million) and third, telecommunications company Elion (7.656 million euros). Eesti Energia Õlitööstus AS paid 6.646 million, EMT AS 6.273, Tallinna Vesi AS 4.466.
Schenker AS 3.150, Selver AS 2.801, Petromaks Spediitori AS 2.105 and Eesti Gaas AS 2.088 million euros.
45 companies paid at least a half a million euros of corporate income tax to the state last year.
