The SITL fair is one of the largest and most important transport fairs in the region, held this year for the 30th time. The fair’s location alternates between Munich and Paris on a yearly basis. The Estonian Logistics Cluster and the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in France hosted a business reception as part of the exposition, where guests were given an overview of Estonia’s economic environment and the advantages and opportunities that the Estonian logistics sector has to offer.
The basic principles of logistics are rapidly changing in today’s dynamic world and security and flexibility become as important as the cost and speed of service. Estonia has the opportunity to provide a safe alternative to existing trade corridors and to offer the possibility of value-added services through distribution centres or assembly plants in Estonia, from where it is possible to serve the end-consumers over the entire 300 million consumer marketplace.
The visit to Paris was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Tallinn City Enterprise Department.
