In PRIMORSK SEAPORT totally 33 261.7 thou. tn of oil and oil products were handled, i.e. –13.0% or –4 951.4 thou. tn less comparing with the period January-June 2012. Oil and oil products are the only cargoes of Primorsk Seaport. Crude oil handled within the analysed period – 28 841.4 thou. tn., oil products – 4 420.4 thou. tn.
In SANKT PETERBURG SEAPORT totally 27 415.1 thou. tn of cargoes were handled, the change made –2.0% or 468.5 thou. tn. less comparing with the analysed period of 2012. 42.1% Of the Seaport cargoes made containerised cargoes, 21. 1% – oil products, 24.8% – metals, 11.5 bulk cargoes – fertilizers, coal, grain. Turnover of general cargoes decreased, the change –9.0% or –669.6 thou. tn, including containerised cargoes (+144.1 thou. tn. or +15.0%), metal waste (-149.2 thou. tn. or –21.0%), non-ferrous metals (-452.9 thou. tn. or –18.0%). The change of liquid cargoes made +4.0% or + 225,5 thou. tn. Loaded oil products – 5 778.8 thou. tn.,the change +4.0% or +225,5 thou. tn. Volume of bulk and dry cargoes significantly increased: +6.0% or +165.8 thou. tn. Increase of fertilizer cargoes (handled 2 614.0 thou. tn., the change +10.0% or +231.4 thou. tn.) and grain (handled 137.0 thou. tn.,the change +6.0% or 7.8 thou. tn.).
In UST LUGOS SEAPORT totally 28 988.2 thou. tn. of cargoes were handled, the change +54% or +10 196.7 thou. tn. the major part of the Seaport load consists of crude oil and oil products (handled 18 083.5 thou. tn., the change +89.0% or 8 491.3 thou. tn) and coal (handled 8 391.1 thou. tn.,the change +15.0% or 1 119.4 thou. tn.). Quick load increase was predetermined by the increase of coal and oil product load. Decrease of general cargo load, handled 1 223.2 thou. tn., the change –7.0% or –88.3 thou. tn. Significant decrease of metal load (handled 269.3 thou. tn., the change –57.0% or –358.6 thou. tn.).
In VYSOCK SEAPORT totally 8 098.8 thou. tn. of cargoes were handled, the change +31.0% or +1 918.2 thou. tn. Only two types of cargoes are handled in this Seaport. The major load of the Seaport makes oil products–71.1%, 5 757.9 thou. tn. of oil products were handled during the analysed period, i.e. +18.0% or 861.1 thou. tn. Coal load makes 2 340.9 thou. tn., the change +82.0% or +1 057.1 thou. tn. Coal load makes 28.9% of the Seaport load.
The total throughput of Klaipėda Port and in Būtingė terminal within the period of January – June of 2013 totalled 21.7 mln. tn of seaborne cargo, the total change of cargo handling turnover was +6.8% if to compare with the corresponding period of 2012. The cargo handling turnover in Klaipėda Port within the analysed period reached 17.2 mln. tn, the year-on-year change was +2.3% or +390.2 thous. tn, meanwhile 4.3 mln. tn of cargo were handled at Butingės terminal, the year-on-year change being +29.0% or +988.5 thous tn.
Comparing with the corresponding period of 2012 the most significant growth of cargo handling volumes in January – June of 2013 in Klaipėda Seaport and Būtingė terminal was reached due to increased handling rates of liquid cargoes (the growth reached 13.6% comparing with the corresponding period of 2012), the highest rates of cargo handling were recorded in the handling turnover of crude oil ( +29.0% or +988.6 thou. tn), natural and chemical fertilizers (+19.4% or +122.7 thou. tn) and oil products (+1.0% +42.9 thou. tn).
In terms of other cargo groups the handling volumes of dry and bulk cargo marked the increase made 6.4%, in Klaipeda Seaport – 6 868.2 thou. tn. The significant growth of handling rates of cargoes attributed to this cargo group has been recorded in handling of agriculture products (+102.2% or +647.7 thou. tn), raw sugar (+12.3% or +26.5 thou. tn), raw and processed minerals and construction materials (+17.5% or +142.7 thou. tn). Decrease of general cargo load (app. by 3.3%) was observed Klaipeda Seaport from the beginning of the year. 5 238,2 thou. tn of such cargoes were handled in total. Decrease in the group of general cargoes was observed in the following fields: wood and forestry products (-11.8% or –34.0 thou. tn), metal and steel products, metal structures (-50.6% or –91.8 thou. tn), natural and chemical fertilizers (-21.5% or –52.4 thou. tn). The handling turnover of containerised cargoes in terms of TEU increased in January – June of 2013 and reached 196 722 TEU (+7.4% or +10 480 TEU).
3 341 vessels were reported to call Klaipėda Seaport and Būtingė terminal in January – June of 2013. 44 vessels (+29.4% or more by 10 vessels comparing with the period January-June 2012) moored at Būtingė terminal. Klaipėda Seaport received 3 297 vessels (-2.4% or –81 vessel corresponding period of 2012).
The number of passengers within the analysed period was 157 395, i.e. more by +4.4% or by 6 638 passengers comparing with the corresponding period of the previous year.
In TALLINN SEAPORT totally 14 924.8 thou. tn handled, the change made –6.0% or –948.6 thou. tn. Quick increase of grain cargoes, handled 43.0 thou. tn., the change +51.8% or +14.6 thou. tn. and wood cargoes, handled 229.6 thou. tn., the change 84.8% or 105.3 thou. tn.
Mainly in Tallinn Seaport oil products are handled (10 480.0 thou. tn., the change – 0.9% or –97,8 thou. tn.), ro-ro cargoes (handled 1823.4 thou. tn., the change –8.3% or –164.7 thou. tn.) and fertilizers (handled 918.1, the change –20.3% or –234.4 thou. tn.).
Cargo flows has also decreased – metal waste (handled 155.6 thou. tn., the change –60.6% or –238.9 thou. tn.), ferrous materials (handled 36,3 thou. tn., the change 69.1% or –81.2 thou. tn.), food products (handled 35.9 thou. tn.,the change 51.8% or –15.9 thou. tn.) and break stone (handled 214.8 thou. tn.,the change –27.7% or –92,7 thou. tn.).
Passengers. This yearTallinn Seaport served 4 209.3 thou. of passengers, the change made +4.4% or +176 thou. passengers.
Vessels. 3 446 vessels were reported to call Tallinn Seaport, i.e. –88 vessels or 2.5% less, comparing with the analysed period of 2012.
In RIGA SEAPORT totally 17 402.6 thou. tn. of cargoes were handled, the change –7.4% or 1 388.2 thou. tn. Quick increase of grain and grain products (general cargo), handled 11.2 thou. tn., the change 522.2% or +9.4 thou. tn., ore load, handled 138,9 thou. tn., the change +47.9% or 45.0 thou. tn., liquefied gas load, handled 30.1 thou. tn., the change 52.8 thou. tn. or 10,4 thou. tn. Increase of non-ferrous metals, metal waste, handled 443,1 thou. tn., the change 37.7% or +121.4 thou. tn. Increase of metal load (general cargo), handled 37,8 thou. tn., the change 84.4% or +17.3 thou. tn. Decrease of coal load, handled 6 730,4 thou. tn., the change –12.8%, –990.8 thou. tn., gain and grain product load (bulk cargoes), handled 63.6 thou. tn., the change –82.6% or –301.0 thou. tn., oil product load, handled 3 978.5 thou. tn., the change –8.3% or –362.3 thou. tn.
Passengers. 386 276 passengers visited Riga Seaport, the change +3.9% or +14 550 passengers.
In VENTSPILS SEAPORT totally 16 319.0 thou. tn. of cargoes were handled, the change made –5.7%, –991.0 thou. tn. Quick increase of ore load. In January-June 2013 560.0 thou. tn., +92.4% or 269.0 thou. tn. of ore was handled. 215.0 thou. tn., +10.8% or +21.0 thou. tn. of ammonia was handled within the first half year of 2013. Increase of break stone load, handled 76.0 thou. tn., the change 94.9% or +37.0 thou. tn. Peat handled: 22.0 thou. tn., the change +10% or 2.0 thou. tn.
Coal handled within the analysed period coal – 4 159.0 thou. tn., the change –11.2% or –523.0 thou. tn. Oil products handled – 9 144.0 thou. tn., the change –1.9% or –174.0 thou. tn. major load of the Seaport makes oil products (56.0%) and coal (25,5%).
Within the first half year of 2013 decreased: fertilizers (handled 664.0 thou. tn., the change -446.0 thou. tn. or –40.2%), grains 132.0 thou. tn., the change –34.3% or –69.0 thou. tn. There was also decrease of wood load, handled 188.0 thou. tn., the change –23.3% or –57.0 thou. tn.
Passengers. The number of passengers in Ventspils Seaport was 26 423, the change +0,5% or –130 passengers.
Vessels. Totally 906 vessels were served, the change –2.3% or –21 vessel.
In LIEPAJA SEAPORT totally 2 493.6 cargoes were handled, the change –29.1% or –1 023.2 thou. tn. Major load of the Seaport makes grains (33%), the turnover of grains within the period of January-June 2013 was 835.2 thou. tn., the change –37.8% or – 507.2 thou. tn.
Quick growth of other liquid cargo load, handled 58.7 thou. tn., the change +81.2% or +26.3 thou. tn. Increase of crude oil load, handled 82.0 thou. tn., the change +44.7% or +25.3 thou. tn., chemical cargo load (liquid cargo), handled 47.0 thou. tn., the change +21.1% or +8.2 thou. tn. Increase of chemical cargo load (bulk cargo), handled +31.0 thou. tn. or +169.6% or +19.5 thou. tn.
Decrease of coal load, handled 48.2 thou. tn., the change –56.8 thou. tn.,-63.5 thou. tn., oil product load, handled 97.0 thou. tn., the change –17.9% or –21.2 thou. tn. Wood load has also decreased, handled 279.9 thou. tn., the change –30.8% or –124.4 thou. tn.
Passengers. The number of passengers in Liepoja Seaport – 21 522, the change 52.5% or +7 409 passengers.
Vessels. Totally served 693 vessels, the change 23.6% or –214 vessels.
